About:

Necoclí is a magical region. “The Pearl of the Gulf of Urabá”, as it is known, has a great natural, cultural, historical and archaeological wealth; from beaches that are bathed by the Caribbean Sea, festivals to the rhythm of bullerengue, to tours of areas that were inhabited by Indians and Spaniards in colonial times. All this has made tourism one of the economic sources with the most potential for the region and the communities.

Understanding the great opportunity that existed to generate development through tourism, we designed, together with our sister company CasaLuker and Go Untraceable, a local travel and experience agency, a tourist route that would have as its central axis the agro-productive process of cocoa farming, but that would also help diversify the income of the communities and attract new generations to work and promote the Colombian countryside.

Thus, in 2018, we mapped several tourism proposals in the region and identified 12 startups that were later trained in the following tools: ABC (adventure-based assessment), RAM (risk assessment model) and TES (Sustainable Experiential Tourism).

We believe that community-based and sustainable tourism has the power to impact the region’s economic growth, drive development and make Necoclí a tourism destination in Colombia.
