About:

Did you know that Colombian farmers are migrating to urban areas in search of work opportunities and that 24.5% of young people in rural areas do not study or work? When we understood the reality of the Colombian countryside, we understood that there is a huge challenge in promoting business and job creation.

That is why, with Empowering Dreams, we are aiming for the cocoa farming regions where we work (which consist mainly of small farmers) to diversify their income in order to improve their quality of life. That is why we created a strategy to generate an entrepreneurial culture with one of our international clients, Pots & Co. They traveled from England to visit one of the Luker Chocolate’s cocoa forests in Necocli, and wanted to be part of the rural development program to support rural entrepreneurship.

Empowering Dreams is a model of impact amplification, in which we want to not only involve those who work with the crops but also encourage their wives, families, neighbors, and colleagues, to dream big and get their business ideas off the ground. For the project, 43 entrepreneurs were selected who receive training under the methodology created by our partner Manizales Más, which allows entrepreneurs to redirect their business idea from classes in design, ideation, opportunities for the generation of business model, segmentation, value proposal, cost structure, among others.

Here you will find the result of the work of people who decided to take risks for their dream and invest in their growth as individuals and communities, to see the Colombian countryside shine like never before.
